TAJDO is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of street dogs in Zanzibar/Tanzania. At the same time, TAJDO creates job opportunities for the local population Region. The organization was founded in Switzerland and operates in Zanzibar/Tanzania.
Jobs/ Education
TAJDO offers interesting and varied job opportunities for the local population.
A cook is responsible for preparing the dog food, which is regularly cooked fresh using local materials.
The work as a craftsman is implemented by carefully designing and building dog bowls from local materials. TAJDO also tries to bring the love for our four-legged friends closer to the local people, as we are confronted with the Islamic culture here, which fundamentally rejects dogs. In this way,
we ensure that the attitude towards dogs changes positively through our education.
Conservation
TAJDO primarily cares about the well-being of street dogs by regularly providing fresh food and water. In addition, thoughtful food bowls are manufactured and provided to street dogs to create a safer and more loving environment. If necessary, the street dogs receive medical attention, which should become an integral part of TAJDO over time.
Development
TAJDO is committed to one day creating a dog shelter in Zanzibar. With this motivation, we not only strive for a clear goal, but also promote the development of potential - both in the animals and in our own actions. Every step that TAJDO takes is characterized by a sustainable approach that enables us to grow continuously and make our visions a reality.
